Do you follow the #LabLife hashtag on Twitter? It’s one of our favourites for seeing what all you scientists are up to in your labs, and it provides us with plenty of laughs too. True, you sometimes have to sift through a few pictures of people's labradors (which, depending on how you feel about cute pictures of dogs on the internet, could be a bonus!) but for the most part you’ll come across loads of funny, oh-so-relatable tweets about what it’s really like to work in a lab.

10. When you get through way too many Kimwipes
This tweet from @UF_ICBR perfectly encapsulates our reliance on Kimwipes. What else in the lab could you not live without?
9. When you just can’t get enough data
Track all things! You know you’re a scientist when you can’t even watch Mary Berry without thinking of spreadsheets. We totally get it, @SephlyatPAX.
8. When new freezer space makes you this happy
Woohoo! We totally feel @HPNeuro’s excitement at all that lovely spare freezer space. The struggle is real, folks.

Ah, science versus religion! Whether you believe in science gods or not, it sometimes really does feel like they’re against you. We have felt your pain many times, @NatashaTracey.

Sometimes, science is really rather cute. Especially when you get to create teeny tiny habitats. Keep trying to make #scienceiscute happen, @AyseYonucu!

Oh, yes! Gone are the days when we were the folk in white coats, lab fashion is all about the colours now. We’re not sure how we’d help with @neurula’s dilemma though… can we have one in every colour, please?
