Biological description Free fatty acid 1 (FFA1/GPR40) receptor agonist. Inhibits ATP-citrate lyase and decreases hepatic acetyl-CoA carboxylase activity and plasma triacylglycerol. Sensitizes adipose tissue to insulin.
