NameNPC-15437 dihydrochloride
-
Short descriptionCompetitive, selective PKC inhibitor
-
Biological descriptionCompetitive and selective protein kinase C (PKC) inhibitor (IC50 = 19.0 µM) that interacts at N terminal of C1 domain. Shows selectivity for PKC-α over PKC-HH and PKC-CB (IC50 values are 22, 30, 130 µM respectively). Exhibits little or no activity for cAMP-dependent or calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase (IC50 values >300 µM). Displays neuroprotective properties.
