Biological description Amino acid analog of Glutamine. Also binds to NMDA glycine, kainate and AMPA receptors (IC50 vales are 347, 41.5 and 24.6 µM respectively). Blood brain barrier permeable and down regulates COX-2 expression. Displays antioxidant and neuroprotective properties. Also promotes hESC self-renewal.
