Biological description GABA analogue and sulfated glycosaminoglycan (sGAG) mimetic. Shows protective actions against kainic acid convulsive and cytotoxic effects. Blocks PSD95 - nNOS interaction to show neuroprotective effects against ischemic stroke. Also decreases Amyloid-β plaques in Alzheimer's models. Blood-brain barrier permeable.
