Biological Data

Biological description Potent and selective Na+/H+ exchanger-1 (NHE-1) inhibitor (IC50 = 14 nM). Exhibits 157- fold and 15,700- fold selectivity for NHE1 over human NHE-2 and rat NHE-3 respectively. Displays cardioprotective properties and reduces both the incidence and duration of ischemia-reperfusion.
